Yes, it’s the fourth of July, folks, and I’ve finished my music video for “Too Lazy to Bleed.” I can’t even think about the fact that I have two more songs to do in this little trilogy I’ve started. I’ll at least wait until the fireworks have died down, and the sickly sulfur air has cleared before I begin working on the videos for “Old Ghost” and “West Coast.”
This three song set is really a lot like the chronological progression my music has taken. “Too Lazy to Bleed” is off my first album, which was recorded in Florida, and featured my brother-in-law, Andrew James ,on the drums and Paul Rippee on the bass. Up next will be “Old Ghost” , which I really recorded by myself (still in Florida) between albums, although it’s featured on my second album, Scratch. Last but surely not least will be “West Coast“, which was recorded on the Oregon coast in a sun room on top of a hot tub stain on the floor. That song and album features my good friend, Jim Mercurio, on the drums.
I’ve written some songs for my next album, but I have to finish these videos before I can move on. It’s like the old saying goes…
Sorry, I got nothing.
